If the T1 decks with in-built phono stages and Bluetooth are comparable sonically, we can predict this to be another successful line from what has become a reliable turntable company. The list below indicates the standard guarantee/warranty period supplied from each manufacturer. That’s part of why there’s plenty to love about the first deck we’ve reviewed from Pro-Ject’s new T-line. It might only be the difference of 15 minutes or so spent gauging weights, but that could understandably be pivotal for those looking for an easy entry into great vinyl sound. Pro-Ject would also argue the T1 is easier to set up than its Rega rival, and with that we couldn't disagree. ![]() The Planar 1 doesn’t quite possess Pro-Ject’s ability to wrap its arms around you and hug it’s a leaner performance, which musically we prefer, but might not sate those coveting a taste of home cooking. There is still enough feeling here for an entertaining performance, it just isn’t the subtlest performer available for this money. The Rega betters the T1 in terms of dynamics too, but then it has bettered most rivals over the past few years. Where the latter locks each part like a jigsaw, the Pro-Ject’s performance is more loosely connected. The T1 isn’t messy as such, but it doesn’t quite snap in the same way as its main rival, Rega’s Planar 1. Detail can be lost, and the presentation somewhat muddied.Ī keener eye for timing and organisation might help that. Sparser arrangements are also beneficial, however, because this isn’t the most spacious of soundstages and can sometimes be cluttered by a throng of instruments. The warmth offered here is pleasant and, while there appears to be some rounding off of the treble, we’re treated to a generally cohesive performance. On the face of it, this Pro-Ject might seem most at home rendering tracks with lots of low-end, but songs stationed in the middle of the register actually feel most natural. All in all, SC6 is a let down and in this hypercompetitive fighting game market, you can do far better. This is a list of characters from the Soul series that debut in the new, rebooted timeline of the franchise.īecause of the overdosed nature of the reboot, this has been split into an index. ![]() Just be sure to do that when the main campaign's path is near them because you can get ambushed by significantly higher leveled AI that will waste your money if you lose. Everything again here is told through texts and portraits and you only get the meager offering of freedom with a good/evil character choice system and "exploration" that you have to pay money to even go to side missions. Don't get me wrong, it's fun to create and mess around with custom characters, but the mode that goes along with it is just boring. You'd think that character creation and the "Libra of Souls" mode would pick up alot of the slack here, but it doesn't. ![]() Why have us fighting mooks that don't even appear in the game? This is a fighting game, your plot should have reason for these characters to meet and duke it out more. Sure there's "side stories" but those were pretty mediocre as well. Like really? Texts and terrible artwork for the majority of your cutscenes? And the main plot was Zzzzzzzzz boring with repeated cheesy but not funny lines and it barely incorporates the cast. Sorry, but in the age of Injustice, Smash, and Guilty Gear, half-assed doesn't cut it anymore. The main story mode is laughable and is only a retread of the original Soul Calibur. Wanna see everybody spam rock-paper-scissors QTEs repeatedly ad infinitum? Wanna see the same characters of Groh and Nightmare over and over again in matches? Wanna see the flow of combat grind to a complete halt everytime someone does a "flashy" move and everything stops so it can look like a movie? The base mechanics itself are okayish (but not balanced) but instead of making it better they just tacked on a bunch of "bling" to make it look good but really bring down the gameplay. I wanted to like this one because I had good memories of Soul Calibur 6 but man oh man did this one disappoint. It is not a perfect game but it is at this moment the best 3D fighter on the current gen consoles. This easily avoided PR mess up is something they need to learn from I get the feeling that Namco gave the devs very little money for this project, and as such they needed to focus on some things, thankfully they focused on the right thing. The character in that dlc fits better into the story then some of the character in the base roster. Often you are shown the same old picture with a picture of a character and some enemy. ![]() The way in which the story is presented feels cheap, Don't get me wrong here, I do enjoy stories told to still pictures as well, just that they could have had more pictures while showing the story. Hit or miss The visuals can be good or bad depending if you like the art-style or not, personally I do like it but I can see some people not liking it. The Libra of souls has this far been way more fun then I thought it would be. The character customization is good, would have likes some more pieces of cloths but all in all it is better then Tekken 7 in this department. It feels responsive and it is easy to get into with a dept there that will be fun to explore. The most important thing, that being the combat, is great, that part is a clear 10 out of 10. This game is somewhere around 8 or 9 to be honest, with a few things dragging it down, so let me jump right into it. And here I am writing a review, scoring it above what I planed to seeing as some people scored it way to low, one even saying it uses the same And here I am writing a review, scoring it above what I planed to seeing as some people scored it way to low, one even saying it uses the same engine as SCIV, little did I know that SCIV used unreal engine 4, well riddle me silly (sarcasm). On this night in March, when he performs "Same Love" halfway through the show, it doesn't seem like Macklemore standing there, but Ben Haggerty himself. That period of confusion, and his sympathy for his ostracized peer, has stayed with him. His mother, a social worker, reassured him that he was straight, but not without encouraging him to take up ballet lessons as a display of solidarity for a classmate who was being bullied. My whole upbringing was around gay people." Macklemore grew up Catholic, but was questioning his sexuality by the third grade. ![]() My uncles owned this restaurant that was a huge magnet for the gay community. "Where I grew up, there were huge gay pride parades less than a mile away from me," Macklemore says. The men closest to him - his uncle Johnny and his godfather - are gay. "He's had a strong influence on us throughout the years." Macklemore was raised in Capitol Hill, a liberal, gay-friendly district of Seattle. "Growing up with a gay uncle and having him be a huge part of our family - I don't think my parents' outlook would be the same if it weren't for him," Lewis says. Lewis's uncle is gay and has been living with HIV for 30 years. They aren't the only attendees making bold, slightly absurd fashion choices: More than a couple dozen guys sport used fur coats, an homage to Macklemore's video for his biggest single, "Thrift Shop," which, since last August, has had more than 245 million hits.īoth he and Lewis grew up surrounded by gay adults. Now they are here at the Breslin Center at Michigan State University, where, despite the freezing cold, an amped-up pack of scantily clad, boozy teenage girls are waiting to see them play (and doing a shit job of hiding their flasks). Their circuit has taken them from Australia to college towns in the United States, with a stop at the South by Southwest music festival. The duo is on a world tour to promote their independently released debut album, The Heist, which came out in October and has sold more than 500,000 copies. If proof was needed, you could find it on a bracing night in March, when I am standing in line in East Lansing, Mich., to see Macklemore and his DJ and producing partner, Ryan Lewis, at their latest sold-out concert. The artist, now sober, is in the midst of transitioning from a YouTube sensation to a legitimate rapper and entertainer. And that, in a roundabout way, is what brings him here this evening.Īfter 15 years in the game - a stretch that included popular Seattle club gigs, a self-released record titled The Language of My World in 2005, and bouts with substance abuse - Macklemore is suddenly on the verge of bona fide success. (In fact, he's engaged to his tour manager and girlfriend of seven years.) At one point in time, though, he certainly thought he might be gay. ![]() ![]() But such an assumption would be relying too much on the same stereotypes Macklemore himself tackles in his breakthrough single, "Same Love." No, he's not gay. He is, after all, a flashy 29-year-old dandy who saunters around in $450 blue velvet Stubbs & Wootton slippers, an MC who struck gold with a number 1 hit about vintage shopping, and a flamboyant showman who cemented his arrival in March with a rousing performance on Saturday Night Live in which he literally skipped across the stage (it drew 5.8 million viewers). At first glance, one could take Macklemore (real name: Ben Haggerty) for the nation's first mainstream gay rapper. Handsome, fabulously dressed in a bright red suit that fits snugly on his slender frame, with perfectly cropped and coiffed hair. And because clients must frequently query the server, it does not work as well over a slow network. If the master server goes or network goes down, client systems will be unable to look up user information, causing logins and many programs to hang. NIS works well and is easily configured from within Webmin, but has some down sides. ![]() NIS client systems query a master server for information as well as reading their /etc/passwd and /etc/group files, which makes the accounts available on all clients. ![]() There is a widely available and more commonly used method of managing users, groups and other services across multiple machines though NIS, covered in NIS Client and Server. Everyone who is participating in the Alpha is under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and that’s why you are not seeing any streams or content. That’s really it! Is the Alpha under NDA? Why? The best option is to sign-up in our website, and answer our survey. How can I increase my chances of getting invited? We want to make sure we can make Palia the best it can be. We expect to receive a lot of great feedback for improvements that we would want to take action on-and that means we would need more time to develop and implement these features. We don’t know when yet, as it’s dependent on how our testing goes. We’ll have multiple Alphas and Betas as we develop towards launch. Will there be more testing phases in the future? We’ve decided to start our Alpha test as we’ve made good progress and have more to show since then, including solidifying our core gameplay! How many people were invited to the Alpha? We invited a few players to take a look around and gather initial thoughts as we think it’s important to incorporate player feedback as early as we can. Also, a lot of the core gameplay was not yet complete. The Pre-Alpha was a very early look in the game with a lot of unfinished areas and characters. Don’t signal to your partner, even if you suspect they don’t know protocol. If you find yourself in a node with a fellow hacker, consider which hacker has protocol before node maintenance begins. It is very important, especially at a high level, to know protocol, as not knowing protocol can lead to double hacks or double secures. Once you understand and memorize these three rules, there is no confusion on your part about protocol and it improves both your agent and hacker play. Any other protocol you’re told that deviates from this rule set is non-meta. These are the three general hacker protocol rules followed by players in Mindnight. Rule 3: If the proposer is an agent, and there are two or more hackers in the node who have either not hacked before or who both hacked last, the hacker closest counter-clockwise to the proposer hacks. Rule 2: If the proposer is an agent, and there are two or more hackers in the node, the hacker who hacked last hacks. Rule 1: The hacker who proposes the node hacks. There is a sound logic behind protocol that applies to every possible scenario. Note that Rule 1 supersedes Rule 2 and Rule 3, while Rule 2 supersedes Rule 3. Although other threads describe protocol, I figure having another guide is good for the game at this time, seeing as it’s free-to-play and has many new players currently. It’s only here for players who don’t know protocol to reference so they can memorize it. This thread is not meant to be an extensive account of protocol. I see a lot of players who don’t know protocol, so I figured I’d make a simple thread to describe the three hacker protocol rules. |
